This home had been painted with latex paint. As paint will not allow for logs to breathe, it traps moisture in the heart of log, causing them to rot from the inside out. Visually the damage may be hard to detect, but once the job started, we ended up replacing 1500 linear feet of logs. Paint was removed with media blasting.
